Some days, writing flows effortlessly. Other days, every chapter asks a little more of you.

Today has been one of those days where I’ve been immersed in Bound by Blood, and I found myself thinking about how every novel is a journey. What begins as an idea slowly grows into characters who feel like real people, each carrying their own secrets, fears and hopes. There are moments when they surprise me, moments when they refuse to do what I’d planned, and moments where I have to stop writing simply to absorb what they’ve revealed.

It’s one of the things I love most about being an author. Readers often see the finished book, but behind every chapter are countless hours of thinking, rewriting, researching and asking, “Is this the very best this story can be?”

Bound by Blood is continuing to grow every day, and I’m genuinely excited to share it with you when it’s ready. I want it to be a story that stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page.

I’d love to know…

When you read a novel, what keeps you turning the pages? Is it unforgettable characters, emotional relationships, unexpected twists, or something else entirely?
